Sandy, Fengtong and Fengzhu attended the 8th National Developmental Biology Congress in Chengdu, China, hosted by the Sichuan International Medical Exchange & Promotion Association together with the Chinese Society for Cell Biology, the China Zoological Society, and the China Genetics Society, and co-organised by the Institute of Blood Transfusion (CAMS) and West China Hospital. This is the largest gathering of Developmental Biologists across China, with nearly a thousand researchers and students.
Fengzhu gave a talk in the Early Development and Organ Formation sub-forum, sharing the project led by Ana. Fengtong gave a talk in the New Techniques for Developmental Biology sub-forum, sharing his nanorobotic rheology approach. Sandy presented a poster looking at body symmetry with nanorobotic perturbations.
We had a great time connecting and reconnecting with colleagues across China and to find new points of contact between our biomechanics perspective and the broader developmental biology community. Our thanks to the organisers in Chengdu for a stimulating few days.
